Ragnar Relay Chicago is the best of both worlds; a little bit of country and a little bit of rock and roll. From iconic red barns and dairy farms to the alluring gleam of sky scrapers on the waterfront of Lake Michigan, Ragnar Relay Chicago is a race that has it all! Ragnarians will start the 200ish mile journey in Madison, WI on beautiful Lake Monona. From there the course runs past dancing corn fields and big open skies that envelope runners in a blanket of stars during the magical night run. Sunrise views of Lake Michigan awake your inner wild as you tackle one of the fastest courses in the Ragnar Relay Series. Mile after magnificent mile, teams will run in concert with the heartbeat of the Windy City for a big city finish in downtown Chi Town.
Thank you for another amazing race. Ragnar Relays are the most well-run races I have ever run - quite an accomplishment with a 200 mile course and 36 exchanges. All of the volunteers along the route were attentive and helpful, and our team did not have a single hiccup. Check-in at race start was even more streamlined this year, and the finish line was beautifully orchestrated this year to get all teams medals, photos, and checked-out in a matter of minutes. The community that pops up within Ragnar is always the best part of the race - van decor, chatting with other runners and a genuine sense of fun and adventure are what make Ragnar different than any other race. Thanks for another great event!
